I have a neighbor who is a US Airways flight attendant and she is just a nasty bitch. Never waves or says hi to me or my fiancee, never is neighborly, seems to be in a bad mood all the time. She really can't afford to live in this neighborhood, her parents bought the house for her, she is home all the time yet still hires a made to clean up after her fat, nastiness. Apparently her bad attitude is common for US Air:

Customs and Border Patrol
Here's a picture of Customs and Border patrol agents harassing people as they try to go to Mexico, supposedly to try to deter guns from going to drug cartels.
Of course our own US government is a pretty good supplier there.

These guys really don't deserve to live in this country. Hopefully there will be a reckoning for this kind of liberal bullshit.

A Marine and his dog
A great 4th of July story:
A stray Iraqi dog recovering from abuse walked 70 miles to find the U.S. Marine who had shown him affection

Misleading Journalism
Power out as Phoenix temps hit record 118 screams the CBS website. The reader concludes a global warming catastrophe, it must be a power spike from all the air conditioners, right? Not so fast. We had a big storm that knocked down a bunch of power lines. Is this misleading headline malicious design by CBS or incompetence? The question is known as Hanlon's Razor.

Fake but accurate
I got a newsletter in my in box that claimed Obama said:
"Navy Seal Team 6 is Cheney's private assassination team."
A short Google search revealed this claim may be untrue. Of course, I was busy clinging to my guns and my bible so I could only search with one hand. Actually not my bible as I'm a deist, but you get my point.

On raising the debt limit
A great conservative once said this about raising the debt limit:
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. [...]
This year, the Federal Government will spend $220 billion on interest. That is more money to pay interest on our national debt than we'll spend on Medicaid and the State Children's Health Insurance Program. That is more money to pay interest on our debt this year than we will spend on education, homeland security, transportation, and veterans benefits combined. It is more money in one year than we are likely to spend to rebuild the devastated gulf coast in a way that honors the best of America.
And the cost of our debt is one of the fastest growing expenses in the Federal budget. This rising debt is a hidden domestic enemy, robbing our cities and States of critical investments in infrastructure like bridges, ports, and levees; robbing our families and our children of critical investments in education and health care reform; robbing our seniors of the retirement and health security they have counted on.
Every dollar we pay in interest is a dollar that is not going to investment in America's priorities. Instead, interest payments are a significant tax on all Americans--a debt tax that Washington doesn't want to talk about. If Washington were serious about honest tax relief in this country, we would see an effort to reduce our national debt by returning to responsible fiscal policies. [...]
Now, there is nothing wrong with borrowing from foreign countries. But we must remember that the more we depend on foreign nations to lend us money, the more our economic security is tied to the whims of foreign leaders whose interests might not be aligned with ours.
Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "the buck stops here." Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.
I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt limit."
Just kidding. Obama said it on March 16, 2006. Maybe he'll finally get his wish!
