Emmy's, Dresses, and Halloween Costumes

Neal Ford, director and software architect at ThoughtWorks, had a saying I’m fond of repeating to engineers on my teams: “Metawork is more interesting than work.” Left to their own devices, software engineers will almost invariably over-engineer things to tackle bigger, more complex, long-view problems instead of the problems directly in front of them. For example, engineering teams might take a break from working on an application to write a scaffolding tool for future applications. Rather than writing SQL queries, teams might write their own object relational mapping (ORM). Rather than building a frontend, teams might build a design system with every form component they might ever need perfectly styled.

Kill It With Fire: Manage Aging Computer Systems

Or, if you’re working with a US government I worked with eleven civilians on an engineering team a few years back. I would say nine of them did absolutely nothing. The GS-15 in charge did nothing, and was a perfect lazy idiot. The idiot was a criminal also. We were notified one day that a legal team would be copying all of our hard drives, he called his secretary and told her to smash his computer. We stopped it and made him turn himself in. Not only was he not charged for that, he kept his job. Let’s keep the corruption! Yeah!

Here now, the news….

AOC’s Tax the Rich dress designer is in trouble in several states for not paying taxes:

Can you smell the irony?

But don’t forget about the hypocrisy as masked servants are waiting on her highness:

Reporters are threatening Nicki Manaj’s family for getting off the Covid train:

I guess they got low:

Nobody fell for it this time. The deep state and the MSM got together to throw another January 6 frame-up, but nobody but agents came to the party:

Speaking of parties, found my new Halloween costume for this year:

And don’t forget Christmas:

So California, the state where you can't get a U-haul to move out of is 4th Happiest in the Nation? Might want to check your math on that... https://wallethub.com/edu/happiest-states/6959

Gavin Newsom won the recall election. I wouldn’t really call it a victory though:

Telling the truth in 2021, when it involves obesity and Covid, will trigger all the snowflakes. Apologizing is just enabling the little turds. Here’s my proof:

Former Secretary that Wrecked Hewlett-Packard gives advice to GOP. Says we need to Dump Trump. https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2021/09/20/fiorina-gop-needs-to-dump-trump-i-personally-am-horrified-by-what-the-term-conservative-has-come-to-mean/

Fawning sycophants say that Kamala and Doug are Vomit-Inducingly Cute:

Well, they’re half right.

And even Chuck Todd of NBC says Biden has a big credibility crisis.

Jimmy Kimmel says unvaccinated shouldn’t get ICU beds:

I think the Marxists shouldn’t have American citizenship anymore, or be allowed to live here. Wouldn’t that make America great again, Kimmel?

Here’s the type of hypocrisy that Kimmel pitched last night at the Emmys, which nobody watched:

This is a perfect description of their attitude which has been on display in neon brightness over the last year and a half. How far will it go I wonder? Have they reached peak hypocrisy yet, or will they find new depths to plumb? Well, once their cash is gone, I suspect their attitude will change, and it ain't looking good tinsel town:
